Android 16-Based Nothing OS 4.0 Stable Update Arrives for Two More Smartphones

Last week, Nothing rolled out the stable version of Nothing OS 4.0, based on Android 16, for the Nothing Phone (3). Now, the company has expanded this update to include two additional models: the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. This update introduces a range of new features, visual improvements, and camera enhancements designed to elevate the user experience.

Currently, the stable Nothing OS 4.0 update is being released to a limited number of users on the Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro devices. Nothing plans to begin a wider rollout once the initial launch proceeds without issues. Users should ensure they upgrade the Essential Space app to the latest version to take full advantage of the enhanced Flip to Record feature. As always, it’s recommended to back up all important data before installing the update.

In related news, some Nothing Phone 2 users have recently received access to Android 16/Nothing OS 4. Although the Lock Glimpse ad feature is present, it is not activated by default, and no additional ads have been reported. This gradual rollout reflects Nothing’s approach to delivering steady improvements across its smartphone lineup.
